Introduction to Jefferson Security Bank's Privacy Policy

At Jefferson Security Bank, the basis of each customer relationship, many of which span generations, is trust. You have chosen to do business with Jefferson Security Bank, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us. We use and retain information to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds; to comply with certain laws and regulations; to help us design or improve our products and services; and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service.

Sharing Information Within Jefferson Security Bank & JSB Financial, LLC

Jefferson Security Bank owns one subsidiary named JSB Financial, LLC, which includes our bank and brokerage service providers. Unless you tell us not to, Jefferson Security Bank and JSB Financial, LLC may share between them information about your experiences and transactions such as account balances, payment history and certain identifying information including name, address, telephone number and social security number.

How To Tell Us Not To Share This Information With Our Corporate Family
If you prefer that Jefferson Security Bank and JSB Financial, LLC not share this information with each other, you may direct us not to share this information by e-mailing us at optout@jeffersonsecuritvbank.com or contacting us through regular mail at Jefferson Security Bank, Attn: Compliance Officer, P.O. Maintenance of Accurate Information

We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We pledge to respond to your concerns and correct any inaccuracies in a timely manner. We also allow you to update your personal information online, at any time, through the submission of encrypted e-mail requests sent to the bank's secure administration site at www.jeffersonsecuritvbank.com.

Limitations on Employee Access to Information

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know tRat information to provide products and services to you. Our employees are required to follow a "Code of Ethics" which states that all confidential information with respect to customers and suppliers is considered to be privileged and is to be held in the strictest confidence. It is to be used solely for the purpose of providing you with the finest service available.

Protection of Customer Information

Jefferson Security Bank is committed to the security of your financial and personal information evidenced by our development of a Customer Information Security Program. This includes standards for maintaining administrative, technical and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Restrictions on Disclosing Account Information

It is the bank's policy not to reveal specific information about customer accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence or business matters, unless:

  1. the information is provided to help complete a customer initiated transaction;
  2. the customer requests or permits it;
  3. the disclosure is required by or allowed by law and proper documentation is maintained in the customer's file (e.g., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.);
  4. the customer has been informed about the possibility of disclosure for marketing or similar purposes through a prior communication and given the opportunity to decline ("opt out").

Information to Non Affiliated Third Parties

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to non-affiliated third parties, except as permitted by law.

Customer Privacy & Third Party Relationships

When the Bank conducts business with third parties, it requires those vendors and suppliers to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable customer information provided to them.

Disclosure of Privacy Policy

Jefferson Security Bank recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our customers. We want our customers to understand our commitment to privacy in our use of customer information.
