Opt-In Notice - Regulatory Change
April 30, 2010 - The Banking Industry continues to face new regulatory requirements. We want to take this opportunity to inform you of an upcoming change to a regulation that may impact the way your ATM and debit card transactions are processed. If you have an ATM or debit card and no action is taken by you, ATM and everyday debit card transactions may be declined when your account does not have sufficient funds to cover the transaction. These are transactions that generally would be approved for our customers who use Bounce Protection or one of our other services which allow overdrafts to occur.
In order to take full advantage of our overdraft protection services now or in the future, please print the Opt-In notice and check the box indicating that you want Jefferson Security Bank to authorize and pay these transactions. Return the form to any Jefferson Security Bank Office or mail the form to P.O. Box 35, Shepherdstown, WV 25443. Fees only apply when you use these services. Providing us with this authorization will allow us to continue to approve these transactions and will prevent the inconvenience of having transactions declined at a merchant, such as a grocery or retail store. Please understand that no response from you may prevent us from allowing you to take full advantage of a service that may currently be available to you today. If you are interested in learning more about this notice, Bounce Protection or one of our other services please contact your local JSB office.
